In Their Words: The MBK Detroit Innovation Challenge Capstone Expo offers a look into the lives of several young men of color in Detroit, and introduces four grassroots organizations that are creating pathways to support their talents and aspirations.

Sponsored by the Skillman Foundation and the Campaign for Black Male Achievement, the Expo is the final stage of the 2016 MBK Detroit Innovation Challenge, a $500,000 competition that sought out and lifted up the best community ideas to connect black and brown boys to opportunity in Detroit.

After a year of prototyping, refining, and scaling their initiatives, the five teams are ready to showcase the tremendous work they have accomplished and help tell the stories of the young men they impact.
